Micro-cement stone vinyl, and how it's laid
Hana's stone series is made to look like real poured cement and natural stone. The tiles are large, 914 mm square, close to the size of a genuine stone slab, so the floor reads as one continuous surface instead of a grid of small tiles. That large format is the whole point, and it's also why the stone tiles are laid differently from the timber planks.
Big tiles, for a real-stone look
The size is deliberate. At 914 mm square, each tile is close to a real stone slab, so once it is down the floor reads as one poured surface with only fine hairline seams, not a repeating grid of small tiles. The micro-cement tones, Dune, Mist, Clay and Graphite, carry soft, cloudy movement across the floor, so it looks like genuine cement without the cold, hard feel.
Why the stone tiles are glued, not clicked
At 914 mm square, the tiles are too big for a click joint to hold flat and tight over time. So the stone series is bonded to the floor with a no-added-formaldehyde adhesive. Glued down, each tile sits perfectly flat and stays put, keeping that seamless surface for good.
It still lays over your existing floor
Like the planks, the stone tiles go over a sound, level and dry floor, so in most homes there is no hacking of the existing tiles or screed. Because the tiles are glued, we prepare the surface first: a clean, even base is what the adhesive needs to bond to properly.
Waterproof and warm, like the rest of the range
It is the same waterproof SPC underneath, so the stone series is happy in kitchens and busy wet-prone areas, and it stays warmer underfoot than real tile or stone. If you would rather a wood-look floor that clicks together, see our guide on laying the timber planks.
